-Goodreads description -
Em is locked in a bare, cold cell with no comforts. Finn is in the cell next door. The Doctor is keeping them there until they tell him what he wants to know. Trouble is, what he wants to know hasn’t happened yet.

Em and Finn have a shared past, but no future unless they can find a way out. The present is torture – being kept apart, overhearing each other’s anguish as the Doctor relentlessly seeks answers. There’s no way back from here, to what they used to be, the world they used to know. Then Em finds a note in her cell which changes everything. It’s from her future self and contains some simple but very clear instructions. Em must travel back in time to avert a tragedy that’s about to unfold. Worse, she has to pursue and kill the boy she loves to change the future . . .

*I received this review copy from Bloomsbury Publishing in exchange for an honest review*

As a major Doctor Who fan, All Our Yesterdays was a perfect action packed book. I didn't go into this book with any expectations as I hadn't read many reviews for it. But I was nicely surprised and am thankful that I asked for it. Before I get into my review, can I just say that the cover is awesome. That was one of the main selling points to me, as well as it being a Science Fiction novel. I don’t say this very often but All Our Yesterdays is a creative title and I love it.

The first thing I noticed was the unique story-line. Science Fiction is always associated with aliens and I think this is a misconception as it involves futuristic themes and time travel as well. All Our Yesterdays had everything I was looking for in a good Sci Fi novel. It was intense, suspenseful and action-packed. I give a big congratulations to the author for creating such a well thought out story-line. Not only did it work well, I didn’t find it confusing at all. I don’t know whether this is because I watch a lot of Doctor Who therefore leaving me experienced with time travel but I think there needs to be an explanation of what a paradox is and what it does for those who are new to this genre.

This novel was well paced but so much happens in it, it feels really fast. Usually I don’t like it when books change perspectives between characters but the author was so skilled she was able to pull it off. While reading this book I kept thinking that this would be a great movie that I would definitely go watch. It was intense, suspenseful and just all round great! The writing was perfect and I don't have anything negative to say about it. The characters were likeable and each held there own uniqueness, it felt like I knew them myself. This book isn't predictable and the ending...left me in shock. This novel kept me turning pages for hours and I couldn't put it down.

Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I think everyone should read it. Even if you're not a major Science Fiction fan, you should still read it! I am waiting for another book by Cristin Terrill as I think she is a very talented author and I'm sure she has a long way to go. This book is now a new favourite of mine and I seriously recommend it. To end this, I just wanted to say a big thank you to Bloomsbury for sending me this book in exchange for an honest review. Well I can say this book didn't disappoint.

  7. Even though I haven't read it, I totally agree that it sounds like it would be a great movie! I'm kind of nervous that I won't get the time travel science, but I've heard that it's not too difficult to follow, so I'm trying not to worry too much about that. Great review! I'm glad you enjoyed this one so much. :)
