Josie Browning dreams of having it all.

A stellar academic record, an amazing career in journalism - and for her current crush to realise she actually exists. The only problem? Josie can’t get through twenty-four hours without embarrassing her sister Kat or her best friend Angel, let alone herself.

Josie’s luck changes though when she lands an internship at the glossy fashion magazine Sash. A coveted columnist job is up for grabs, but Josie’s got some tough competition in the form of two other interns. Battle lines are drawn and Josie quickly learns that the magazine industry is far from easy, especially under the reign of powerful editor, Rae Swanson.

From the lows of coffee-fetching and working 10-hour days, to the highs of mingling with celebrities, scoring endless free beauty products (plus falling for her cousin’s seriously gorgeous flatmate James) this is one year Josie will never forget.
Totally fresh and funny, this debut novel from industry insider Gabrielle Tozer reveals just what is behind the seeming glamour and sparkle of the magazine industry.

*I received this for review from Harper Collins AU, in no way does this effect my review*
Review - No Spoilers

To be honest I didn't think I would enjoy this novel as much as I did. I didn't think much when I requested it and I grew wary thinking that it would be yet another review book collecting dust on my bookshelf. But I delved into it straight away and I was hooked from line one! And can I just say, how gorgeous is the cover? It's so different from everything else and it is certainly an eye catcher.

If you're looking for a book to have a good laugh, The Intern isn't what you're looking for. The Intern is more double over, laughing on the floor kinda book! The writing is hilarious and the main character Josie just managed to find herself in the most random situations. This novel just clicked with me because I want to pursue a journalist career and this book was the perfect way to see what I'd be getting myself into.

Josie goes through many tough situations and just when you think her life is over for sure she manages to bounce back and make a come back. She's a perfect character to represent resilience. I found her character easily relatable and I really loved her voice. I found it easy to get into a nice pace with this book and in no time had I finished it. The book had many funny one-liners and had some clever wit. All the other characters were unique and it just reminded me of all the range of personalities there are in the world! You have the insecure one, the bully, the player, the boss and many more!

So in the end I adored this book! It was so funny and had me laughing from line one. It was definitely a review book I'm happy with and I hope I have the same future experiences. Gabrielle Tozer's writing was perfect and I hope she writes another novel! So far this year has gone well reading wise and I hope it continue's that way.

{Review} Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins

Genre: Contemporary

Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris--until she meets Étienne St. Clair. Smart, charming, beautiful, Étienne has it all...including a serious girlfriend.

But in the City of Light, wishes have a way of coming true. Will a year of romantic near-misses end with their long-awaited French kiss?

Review - No Spoilers

There are no words in the English vocabulary that can describe the feels I am going through at the moment. All over the blogosphere I kept reading reviews for this novel and I always brushed it off thinking I wouldn't like it. How dead wrong I was! Seriously everyone who tries to convince me to read this deserve the bragging rights! The whole time while reading this book there was just this inner monologue that kept berating the shit outta me.

"You had the chance to read this Francoise earlier this year! Why didn't you take it! You're a blogger for god sake you're obligated to do...." Blah blah blah you get the picture. Quite comical really!

So it's obvious that this book is at fault for me falling into the world of contemporary! Honestly I didn't understand the whole hype surrounding this genre and I thought it would be boring because there would be no action. Well dumb past me, I just totally get it now!

Self-pitying aside, this book was amazing. I've always loved the boarding school setting but the fact that it was set in Paris just ramped my like for this novel up a notch. You would think the fact that there are no parents around this book would suffer from the 'No-Parent Syndrome' but it didn't! Every author needs to take lessons from Perkins on how to balance the right amount of parent involvement. The description of Paris was perfect and I just felt like I was sitting in a cafe in Paris reading this novel. My dream is to go to France at least once so this book was just perfect. I loved getting a sense of the French culture and there was just the right amount of French mixed into it. And for once a book isn't set in the US or UK! Obviously somebody was listening to my prayers!

The characters were awesome. Stephanie Perkins portrayed a perfect teen voice through Anna and it was easy to slip into her character. Anna and the French Kiss is the perfect recipe for a well done contemporary novel. (Not that I'm an expert) It had a good balance of high school drama, romance and friendship struggles. It was interesting to see how the friendship grew between each character. It goes to show a small group of friends can be the best type. This novel explores some very realistic problems that I think everyone has at least once. The trials and tribulations of forming a close relationship with people whether it be friends, family and lovers. One thing I did take away from the book in the end is how a lack of communication can ruin everything and just assuming things of people can be even worse.

I just loved this book and I'll be definitely reading other novels by Stephanie Perkins. I was daring and bought this book and I'm so glad in the end I did. (I need to spoil myself more) Anna and the French Kiss will be on my mind for a while and it was a book I was able to take away important messages that I can apply to real life. I think that's the one thing I love about this genre, yet it is fiction it's so real! This book makes me want to pack my bags and move to a French boarding school if this novel is anything to go by. Trust me when I say go and read this!!! And as a last note, why isn't this a movie!?

The Book Blogger TMI Tag

I don't know but I've always found this post to have TOO MUCH INFO! Haha hence the name but oh well, I got tagged by the fabulous Rachel from Booktastic Reviews and Imma give it a shot. This tag was created by the lovely Amber over at The Mile Long Bookshelf and I think this tag has been very successful as a handful of bloggers have already done it.

How old are you?
I'm only 14 but I'll be turning 15 next month!!! 15 is sort of a filler year to me...16 would be so much better.

What book(s) are you reading?
At the moment I'm reading Cinder by Merissa Meyer and The Intern by Gabrielle Tozer. I am loving both books so far!

What are you wearing?
Really??? I'm wearing a purple PJ nightie. I'm that sort of person who is in PJ's all the time.

OTP?
Aaaaaaaah this is a super hard one. I ship so many couples it's not even funny. *Rakes brain for answer* Probably Percy and Anabeth from the awesome Percy Jackson series. (Percabeth for the win!)

Blogger or Wordpress?
Well duh BLOGGER!

Going outside being active or staying in and reading a book?
Hmmmmm that's difficult because I love going to the beach but yet a book can take me to one! Defs the book! Forever a couch potato!

What is the last book you read?
Goddess by Josephine Angelini. The best conclusion to the series!

What is the book you're going to read next?
Well hoping that Anna and the French Kiss arrives in the mail soon definitely that. I must see what all the hype is about!

eBooks - yes or no?
Yes and No, they hurt my eyes after a while but sometimes I can't wait to read a book

Where do you prefer to read?
In bed!

Who is the last person you tweeted?
Rachel from Booktastic Reviews

Who's blog did you look at last?
Rachel's from Booktastic Reviews haha!

Who is your favourite blogger?
I have many blogs I follow and love but since I knew this person since childhood it would have to be Sunny from A Sunny Spot Blog

Who is your favourite booktuber?
I love Christine from polandbananasBOOKS

What do you do when someone tells you reading is boring?

Who is the last author you spoke to?
Merissa Meyer on twitter (if you could call it a conversation)

Who is the last person you texted?
Sunny! We were fangirling over The Intern

Who is your all-time favourite book character?
I refuse to answer this

UKYA or USYA?
I don't really care either way I just wished there would be more set other than the average place but since pretty much all books are set in America I'm gonna have to go with USYA!

What is your preferred drink whilst reading?
NO DRINKS EVER GOES NEAR MY BOOKS! (Not even library books) Do you realise the gravity of this situation, the spillage that could occur?

If you hated reading, what would you be doing instead?
Watching a crap-load more of TV shows and movies.

How many bookshelves/bookcases do you have?
1 tiny little bookshelf

If you had the choice to meet all of your favourite book bloggers or all of your favourite authors, which would you pick? You can only pick one.
Definitely book bloggers, I want to see the minds behind the awesome blogs and be able to fangirl/boy with everyone. I dunno, I wanna keep my relationship between the authors strictly fangirl and the creator of the fandom. I dunno I wouldn't want to be disappointing like in The Fault in Our Stars!

Insta-love- yes or no?
NO! Very rarely does it actually work well but where's the fun in just instantly getting together. Where's the slow slow building of chemistry? The swoon-worthy moments?

Favourite author?
Aaaaargh! So many awesome choices, probably Rick Riordan at the moment because he created Percy!

What is the number-one book on your wishlist?
Ignite Me by Tahereh Mafi

Do you prefer books with female or male protagonists?
Female without a doubt. I'm not being sexist in any way but it really depends on the writer. Sometimes I think with male protagonists they can't get it right. But Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, and I Am Number Four are all perfect examples of when it's done right!

Which is your favourite book-to-film adaption?
Hunger Games for sure! The cinematography is AMAZING and they just get everything perfect (except for a few tiny changes)

What is the last song you listened to?
Ice Box by Omarion. It's an old song!

Which do you enjoy reading more - negative reviews or positive reviews?
Haha I don't know why but I love reading negative reviews because I know they're being honest and it's just so funny reading how people get so riled up over what they hated. But I do love postives because you can fangirl along with them.

Who are you going to tag?

EVERYONE WHO HASN'T DONE IT! I dunno I feel like everyone has....
Also Sunny from A Sunny Spot Blog haha

Anyways I hope you've enjoyed this post. I dunno, it's way too much info for me to digest it all! Love for your feedback!

{Review} Goddess by Jospehine Angelini

Add to Goodreads
Author: Josephine Angelini
Series: Starcrossed #3
Release Date: May 28th 2013
Publishers: HarperTeen
Pages: 421
Genre: Greek Mythology

After accidentally unleashing the gods from their captivity on Olympus, Helen must find a way to re-imprison them without starting a devastating war. But the gods are angry, and their thirst for blood already has a body count.

To make matters worse, the Oracle reveals that a diabolical Tyrant is lurking among them, which drives a wedge between the once-solid group of friends. As the gods use the Scions against one another, Lucas’s life hangs in the balance. Still unsure whether she loves him or Orion, Helen is forced to make a terrifying decision, for war is coming to her shores.

In Josephine Angelini’s compelling conclusion to the masterfully woven Starcrossed trilogy, a goddess must rise above it all to change a destiny that’s been written in the stars. With worlds built just as fast as they crumble, love and war collide in an all-out battle that will leave no question unanswered and no heart untouched.

Review - Minor spoilers if you have not read the series

As a massive fan of Greek Mythology I feel as if I've failed this particular genre because as you can see by the release date this book came out last year in May. I do not know how I deprived myself of such a brilliant ending to this amazing series! Honestly if you are a massive fan of Greek Mythology and you haven't read this series you're insane.

Words cannot express how much I loved this book. Lately I've been reading slow and I thought this would take me a while but no, I devoured this book in one sitting! All social contact between my friends was basically cut-off! You know when you've been waiting a year for the next book and when you finally get it you just missed the characters? Yeah that was me!

The amount of book boyfriends I have in this book it's ridiculous. Call me a book slut but I have no shame when it comes to the Delos family.

Since I read Antigoddess last week, I'm in a sort of Greek Mythological mood and I liked comparing both novels because they are about the same aspect of the Trojan War and it was interesting seeing the different variations of the story. In Antigoddess it was a war amongst the Gods and in Goddess its Scions (demi-gods pretty much) versus the gods!

This novel was action-packed and filled with romance. The starcrossed lovers had to go through the ultimate battle to get out alive. The stakes were high and it was all up to Helen, our mian character. People doubted her and she got betrayed many times over but she pulled through and proved herself to be a worthy hero. Throughout the series sometimes Helen came across as whiny, weak and sometimes even self-centred but she proved everybody wrong (even myself).

The major thing about the series is the romance! Ooooh the romance just kills me. I will warn you there is a bit of a love-triangle (somewhat) but it's the good kind. Even though I've finished the series I love both love interests! And it wasn't that kind of love-triangle where the girl just can't choose and one page she is all about one guy and then the next she changes her mind, in this one it all falls down to the messed up situation. And when I say messed up, I mean really MESSED up! Rome and Juliette aint got nothing on this couple. (It isn't called the Starcrossed series for nothing)

I better end this here but as you can see this review is just a hot mess but I can never put in words how much I love a book. (Negative reviews however...no trouble!) But believe me when I say GO AND READ THIS NOW! Even if you are not a fan of Greek Mythology you will still love it. Josephine Aneglini is an amazing writer and she did a perfect job of incorporating the history of the Trojan War. I just love this trilogy and I'm so depressed that it ended, I hope she writes another series. Fingers crossed!

Dash & Lily's Book of Dares

Add to Goodreads
Author(s): Rachel Cohn, David Levithan
Release Date: October 26th 2010
Publishers: Knopf Books for Young Readers
Pages: 260
Genre: Contemporary

“I’ve left some clues for you.
If you want them, turn the page.
If you don’t, put the book back on the shelf, please.”

So begins the latest whirlwind romance from the bestselling authors of Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist. Lily has left a red notebook full of challenges on a favorite bookstore shelf, waiting for just the right guy to come along and accept its dares. But is Dash that right guy? Or are Dash and Lily only destined to trade dares, dreams, and desires in the notebook they pass back and forth at locations across New York? Could their in-person selves possibly connect as well as their notebook versions? Or will they be a comic mismatch of disastrous proportions?

Rachel Cohn and David Levithan have written a love story that will have readers perusing bookstore shelves, looking and longing for a love (and a red notebook) of their own

Review - No Spoilers

Dash & Lily's Book of Dares is the first contemporary book I've read this year and I am more than happy with my choice. Going into this book I knew there was a lot of hype surrounding it so I was very hesitant of reading it. But now I regret that decision because I wished I had read this sooner. Dash & Lily's Book of Dares is a quick read that is good for when you're seeking for a light and funny story. The characters are truly memorable and and the story I won't easily forget. It makes me want to just place my own little red notebook of dares at my closest book store to see who would come across it.

The first thing I noticed about this story was the creativity of it plot. No way would I have ever thought of such a clever idea and for a contemporary at that. I'm not an expert in this genre but I can guess that you get a lot of cliche plot-lines and the good ones and this one falls under the latter. This story kept me hooked from page one, wondering what the next outrageous dare would be.

This is my first taste of writing by David Levithan and I have to say I was impressed. Sometimes I was a little confused with the words but it only helped widen my vocabulary. I don't usually like the changing of point of views but this story worked so well and I wouldn't have given it a high rating otherwise. It was nice seeing the other person in different perspectives and for once I liked a male protagonist.

I loved the characters and how they are so different from your average person. We have Lily who is nice, caring and always the odd one out and then Dash who is a highly intelligent character. In some ways they are polar opposites as one loves Christmas and the other doesn't and one relies heavily on family and the other is more on the independent side yet they both work as a cute couple. One thing I loved was the way the characters interacted with each other and the type of relationships they build with one another.

Overall I thought this was a cute novel which didn't take me long to complete (260 pages!). I highly recommend it to you if you have nothing else to read and you're just looking for a light and quick read. Dash & Lily's Book of Dares was my first and won't be the last contemporary I'll read this year!

Bookish Pet Peeves!

A lot of booktubers have been making videos on pet peeves so I thought I might join in on this one. Setting this all out on dot points I realise that I have quite a few...jeeez I'm easily riled up.

So do you agree with these points or am I just crazy!

These ones or more based on people:

1. When people lean over my shoulder and start trying to read what I'm reading:

Please tell me I am not the only one who finds this incredibly annoying! I'll just be sitting there minding my own business, quietly reading and a friend might try and read over my shoulder. Obviously because I can sense them standing behind me I shut the book and glare at them. And then they have the nerve to give me that smirk and then say "Are you reading something naughty?" I nearly explode every time this happens.

2. When people try and talk to me while I'm obviously reading

Look, I don't mind if it;s a quick chat and they're just asking for help, BUT when they keep talking...enough said

3. When people spoil things for me

Usually when I'm reading a book that I know has had a lot of hype around it I avoid the internet in general. Because I know there is just going to be that one person that forgets to put a spoiler warning. But if someone comes up to me and deliberately or by accident spoils me I get so mad. I'm not a person who loves spoilers at all. I don't mind theories before the novel has come out though!

4. When people ask for spoilers

This one is just as bad as the previous one. I hate spoilers so therefore I don't like giving out them either and when someone pesters me for spoilers it annoys the crap out of me. What part of no do you not understand? The N or the O? And they go on to say, "You might as well tell me because I can always look on the internet." My answer will always be no.

Next few points are based on the book:

1. Cover changes

I hate it when a series is following a certain cover scheme whether it may be the colour or the people on the front cover, but I hate it when the next book comes out and BAM it's just completely different. It completely jacks up your collection of the series. I also hate it when the sizing changes and this usually happens with paperback.

2. Stories that are stretched out into series or trilogies

One series comes to mind and this is The Selection. Don't get me wrong I love this series but the first two novels can be one book. They don't need to it out into two books, they're short enough as it is. It's almost like the publishers are just doing it to make more money...

3. Not having the double quotation marks ""

I know this is a really odd one but I have no idea why it annoys me. You know when you're reading a book and when they speak they only use '. It annoys me, it's meant to be ". I only like this when it's highlighting a persons thoughts but even then that irks me slightly. I just feel like the author got lazy and couldn't be bothered to press an extra key "shift".

Obviously I could go on and say how I hate insta-love and love-triangles but those are the obvious ones. So do you agree? Yes or No? I'm crazy right?

What're your bookish pet peeves?

Publishers: Tor Teen
Pages: 333
Genre: Greek Mythology

Old Gods never die…

Or so Athena thought. But then the feathers started sprouting beneath her skin, invading her lungs like a strange cancer, and Hermes showed up with a fever eating away his flesh. So much for living a quiet eternity in perpetual health.

Desperately seeking the cause of their slow, miserable deaths, Athena and Hermes travel the world, gathering allies and discovering enemies both new and old. Their search leads them to Cassandra—an ordinary girl who was once an extraordinary prophetess, protected and loved by a god.

These days, Cassandra doesn’t involve herself in the business of gods—in fact, she doesn’t even know they exist. But she could be the key in a war that is only just beginning.

Because Hera, the queen of the gods, has aligned herself with other of the ancient Olympians, who are killing off rivals in an attempt to prolong their own lives. But these anti-gods have become corrupted in their desperation to survive, horrific caricatures of their former glory. Athena will need every advantage she can get, because immortals don’t just flicker out.

Every one of them dies in their own way. Some choke on feathers. Others become monsters. All of them rage against their last breath.

The Goddess War is about to begin.

*I received this review copy from Tor Teen Publishing in exchange for an honest review*

Review - No Spoilers

So a lot of you know that I am a huge sucker for Greek Mythology so when I saw this (A long, long while ago) on the Tor Teen website I was dying to get my hands on it. They were nice enough to give it to me for review and I (shamefully) neglected it and I just don't know what took me so long to read it!!! And also they gave it to me in HARDCOVER!!! So many thanks to them for supplying it to me.

On to the review...

Oh my gosh, I cannot explain to you in words how much I loved this book. I love Greek Mythology thanks to the Percy Jackson series and I was worried that I wouldn't like it because I always thought nothing could come near how fantastic that series is. BUT I was deeply mislead and I'm so glad I finally picked it up.

Greek Mythology
The Greek mythology aspect of this book was spot on. The author has to be incredibly skilled to pull of this genre because not only do you have to get the mythology aspect right but you have to make it so that's it's not a massive info-dump on the readers. Kendare Blake did such a skilled job at it and I felt like I learned a lot more of the whole history of the Trojan War. It was cool seeing it from the characters perspectives and not just having it told as a boring story.

Writing
The one thing I really took noticed too was the excellent writing! Usually I don't enjoy 3rd person because I find I can't connect to the main characters as well but in this novel it worked. Also there was dual perspectives which is another pet peeve I hate about certain novels but this time round I wasn't bothered by it at all. The flow of the writing made it easier for me to get into a set pace while reading and I was able to finish it one sitting.

Characters
I LOVED the characters. Each character was done so well. One of the perspectives was done in Athena's point of view and I just couldn't believe how well her character was done. If you don't know who she is Athena is the Greek God of wisdom and she would probably be one of the hardest characters to portray. It was cool being able to see into her mindset and how she saw things and her thought process. Cassandra was also an interesting character to read because she is often overlooked in most books so I didn't really know much about her and her history.

Overall
I love this book and I regret taking so long to read it. As a major Greek Mythology fan this is just what I needed and I think Kendare Blake did an excellent job writing this story. I'm definitely going to keep a look out for her other books and I suggest you pick up one of hers too! This novel shows that the author put great time and effort to research the history of the Trojan War and I think anyone with a passion for Greek Mythology would love this book!

The GIF Tag

I came across this tag over at Zoe's blog called Bookhi and it made me laugh so hard. This tag was created by Hawwa from It Was Lovely Reading You. It's such a creative tag and I would never have thought of it. So basically you just come up with a range of scenario's and attach a gif to it.

When someone hates a book you love

When someone doesn't read

When someone returns your book damaged

When an author kills off my fave character

When someone is in the same fandom as you

When a book is released

When a villain won't die

Epic battle scenes

When someone interrupts while I'm reading

When something unexplained happens in a book

When I have no money for a book

When I finish the last book in the series

Book Boyfriends

Cute couples

Does this sum everything up? I tag everyone because I want to see what everyone comes up with. Comment telling me what you think or did I leave something out?

{Series Review} Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick

Add to Goodreads
Author: Becca Fitzpatrick
Release Date: October 23rd 2012
Publishers: Simon & Schuster Books for Young Readers
Pages: 453
Genre: Paranormal > Angels > Romance

Will love conquer all?

Nora and Patch thought their troubles were behind them. Hank is gone and they should be able to put his ugly vendetta to rest. But in Hank's absence, Nora has become the unwitting head of the Nephilim and must finish what Hank began. Which ultimately means destroying the fallen angels - destroying Patch.

Nora will never let that happen, so she and Patch make a plan: lead everyone to believe they have broken up, and work the system from the inside. Nora will convince the Nephilim that they are making a mistake in fighting the fallen angels, and Patch will find out everything he can from the opposing side. They will end this war before it can even begin.

But the best-laid plans often go awry. Nora is put through the paces in her new role and finds herself drawn to an addictive power she never anticipated.

As the battle lines are drawn, Nora and Patch must confront the differences that have always been between them and either choose to ignore them or let them destroy the love they have always fought for.

Review - No Spoilers

From my previous reviews you could probably already tell that I LOVED this series. No words can truly express how I feel. I honestly can't believe it has taken me this long to start it. Usually when I start a series I read the first one and then go on to reading other books and then end up forgetting about it. It's been a while since I've loved a series this much to just read it straight. This series was just jam-packed with so many emotions it's ridiculous. The whole way through the journey I felt like the main character and just felt everything she felt. Not many people like this series and I can see that it's not everyone's cup of tea but then next time you see this sitting on a bookshelf in the library or book shop, PICK IT UP!

Plot

I find it funny how I think back to my previous thoughts when I first started reading this series. At first I though wow this can't get any better and it must be one of those series that just goes down hill. Well I was proven completely wrong! The plot never ceased to amaze me and just when I thought things were getting dull, BAM there's a plot twist. This series kept me up reading into the late hours and it took me everything to put it down.

Annoying Intro

I don't even know why this annoyed me so much but have you ever read a book and they just recap over every detail at the start like as if you were reading the first book again. Well this happened in this one and i  just felt like rolling my eyes half the time because it felt like the author thought we forgot the story line and characters.

Characters

Nora - Main Character
Sometimes Nora got a little too whiny for my liking and her insecurities got the best of her more than once. She really needs to trust Patch (lover interest) and give him a chance to explain before things go south, and half the time this happened. But throughout the series she definitely grew, more so towards the end. She truly proved herself as a worthy heroine at the end and I congratulate her for being so brave. (Lol, obviously my perception between fiction and reality is muddled up!)

Vee - Best Friend
Vee was greatly influential on Nora's decision at the start but then the roles were flipped. I felt like Vee got pushed to the side too often and got taken for granted way too much. The series mainly focused on the romance and sometimes it overpowered the plot line which got a little annoying at times. At the end she proved herself to be a trustworthy and loyal friend, she was always there when needed.

Patch - Love Interest
Patch ohhhh Patch. He is definitely one of my new Book Boyfriends. Becca Fitzpatrick did the best job creating a perfect guy but with flaws obviously. Honestly why can't guys be like these book characters? It would make life a lot more easier for the female population! Patch was just so sexy and I am an envious of Nora, yes I said it, I'm envious of a fictional character.

Love Triangle and the 'No-Parent Syndrome

At one stage in this series I was really worried that this series was turning into a love triangle but thankfully it didn't! At one stage it was heading towards one but I think Becca Fitzpatrick opted out and I'm glad she didn't go down that route. In my other reviews I said this fell into the No-Parent Syndrome and this book more so. So many things happened there was no time for a helicopter mother but it just made the realistic factor plummet a little. I guess the fact that they are older they can get away with it but it still doesn't excuse the problem.

Overall

I loved this series and I don't care about the fact that many people didn't. Everything was in order; the romance was hot and steamy, the action never let up, the story-line took many twists and turns and the characters will be ones I won't forget. I highly recommend that you give it a go but not everyone's going to love it.

As a last note, the next book I'm thinking of reading is Antigoddess by Kandare Blake

Blogger or Wordpress?

I've been thinking of some time now to move to Wordpress but I'm really conflicted on whether or not too. I love my blog the way it is now but every time I see someone's blog who has wordpress I just think it looks a lot more cleaner and sophisticated.

I've heard you don't have as much freedom on Wordpress with the design but I wanted to ask anyone who has it what they think of it. Have you had any issues with it? Is it easy to use? These are just a couple questions I have about it. If you have moved from Blogger to Wordpress please tell me what you think!

WHEN SILENCE IS ALL THAT'S LEFT, CAN THE TRUTH FINALLY BE HEARD?

Nora Grey can't remember the past five months of her life. After the initial shock of waking up in a cemetery and being told that she has been missing for weeks - with no one knowing where she was or who she was with - she tried to get her life back on track. Go to school, hang out with her best friend, Vee, and dodge mom's creepy new boyfriend.

But there is this voice in the back of her head, an idea that she can almost reach out and touch. Visions of angel wings and unearthly creatures that have nothing to do with the life she knows.

And this unshakable feeling that a part of her is missing.

Then Nora crosses paths with a sexy stranger, whom she feels a mesmerizing connection to. He seems to hold all the answers...and her heart. Every minute she spends with him grows more and more intense until she realizes she could be falling in love. Again.

Review - No Spoilers

I absolutely love this series. It's been a while since I've actually enjoyed a series enough to continue it all the way and I'm planning on finishing the last book straight away. I don't know what it is about this series that makes it so compelling for me to read but it's one of my favourite paranormal romances I've read in a while. I think what I love about it is that I'm finally reading something that's not all vampires so it's nice to take a break. I never would have thought I would like angels so much!

Plot

Just when I thought there was nothing more this series can go on with the cliff hanger on the end of Crescendo surprised me greatly. The author opened up a whole new crisis that has overtaken the previous one and the next book will truly test the relationship between the main character and love interest. So pumped!

Characters
I said this series suffered from the 'No-parent Syndrome' but this time round a lot of it was based on her mum but yet here mum was still not exactly present that much during the story. I also felt like the main characters best friend was left in the dark heaps and she was only there when it was convenient for the MC. This story was mainly based on the MC, love interest and the 'villain' so it became a little unrealistic.

Overall
I'm sorry this is such a short review but I've decided to do a whole series review at the end. I'm a little upset that it'll be the last book in the series...what will I have then??? I'm thinking of completing some standalones and review books and then finishing the City of Bones series and possibly starting the Infernal Devices. My next review should be soon and I would really appreciate the feedback. And as a last note, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

2014 TBR Pile Reading Challenge

As you all probably know there is already a 2014 reading challenge on Goodreads but I just don't think that's motivational enough so I've decided to join the 2014 TBR Pile Reading Challenge hosted by Evie Bookish. Check out her post for details if you want to join. I highly recommend you do it because I'm sure I'm not alone when I say there are heaps of books on my shelf collecting dust. Well this is a way of motivating yourself to read more this year so at the end of there year you can feel achieved.

So I'm aiming for the level Sweet Summer Fling which is to read 31-40 books. I'm aiming low because whenever I aim too high it just never works out! So I challenge you to join me in this challenge! Also there is a giveaway at the end to those who complete there desired goal! Have I grabbed your attention yet???

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Happy New Year everyone! I can't believe 2014 is finally here, it just came out of nowhere!!! Make sure you make your new years resolutions. (And hopefully keep them) I hope everyone's well and that they remain that way for the rest of the year.

For this year I hope to achieve reading about 50 books and for my blog to be more organised. I also want to start vlogging which my mum has agreed to help me with so that'll be only a matter of time. I'm thinking of doing that around my blogoversary time as a special feature!

Anyways happy new year everyone!
